🩺 Licensed Vet Tech (LVT)

Very busy avian/exotic practice is in search of a licensed veterinary technician that is ready to join our passionate team for full or part time positions. We are looking for a passionate veterinary technician with the following skill sets to be applied to birds, reptiles, rodents, rabbits, ferrets, and other exotic companion pets:

• 💉 Venipuncture on many species as well as IV catheterization
• 🦴 Ability to use and work with digital radiography and position for radiographs.
• 😴 Anesthesia induction/intubation and monitoring for exotic species, especially rabbits, rodents and birds
• ✂️ Surgical preparation of patients
• 🩹 Nursing care of ill patients.
• 🚨 Able to assess critical patients and help with emergency cases.
• 💻 Computer proficiency
• 🦎 Knowledge of husbandry for many exotic species
• 💬 Excellent communication skills to discuss care and instructions with our clients.
• ⏱️ The ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment and thrive under pressure
• 👐 Knowledge of proper restraint of exotic species
• 🤝 Someone who works well with a team and is willing to collaborate.

💰 Salary $22.00-26.00 commensurate upon experience.

📞 Part-Time Veterinary Receptionist

Love animals and enjoy working with people? Island Exotic Veterinary Care is looking for a friendly, dependable Part-Time Receptionist to join our team!

What you’ll do:

• 📞 Answer phones & assist clients
• 📅 Schedule appointments & manage patient flow
• 💳 Process payments & assist with check-in/check-out
• 🐾 Provide excellent customer service to our clients and patients
• 🤝 Support our veterinary team and keep the front desk organized

We’re looking for someone who is:

• ✔️ Friendly, professional & dependable
• ✔️ Organized and detail-oriented
• ✔️ Comfortable multitasking in a busy environment
• ✔️ A team player with a positive attitude
• ✔️ Veterinary experience preferred, but not required
• ✔️ Comfortable working with exotic animals

🕒 Part-Time Availability Required:
Evenings 3:00–8:30 PM + Saturdays

💲 $18–$20/hour, commensurate with experience + benefits
